NPHC is a sub-council of the Inter-Greek Council and a member of the

National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc. They are often referred to as “Pan

Dash” or the “Divine Nine”. Their purpose is to serve as representatives

of historically established community service fraternities and sororities,

with both graduate and undergraduate chapters. NPHC promotes

interaction through forums, meetings, activities, community service

and other mediums for the exchange of information and engages in

cooperative programming and initiatives through various activities and

functions. Each NPHC fraternity & sorority sends representatives to

NPHC’s biweekly meetings.

 

How to Join a NPHC Fraternity or Sorority

Each NPHC fraternity & sorority recruits differently. Many will host

informational meetings early each semester. If you are interested in a

specifi c organization, please contact that organization directly or complete the Greek Interest Form.

 

Requirements to Join a NPHC Fraternity or Sorority

Each organization has its own minimum requirements set by their

national organization and SIUC chapter. Please contact the SIUC

chapter that you are interested in to fi nd out their requirements.

However, NPHC has its own minimum requirements in addition to the

national and chapter requirements. To join a NPHC organization, a

minimum GPA of 2.5 is required in addition to being a student at SIUC.
